Mother Teresa said, “Kind words are short and easy to speak, but their echoes are really endless”. Kind and encouraging words in hardships/difficulties are too much valuable for the bearer. No doubt it gives new hope, meaning and life for future and helps to forget the past bad experiences.
Caritas Pakistan Lahore team visited critical patients under treatment in Government Jinnah Hospital affected by Gulshan Iqbal Park Bomb Blast on Easter Day dated 26th April, 2016. The victims and their family members were in great trauma and nervousness, which was clearly seen on their gloomy faces.
Psychotherapy session with these victims was a wonderful experience, which created cheerfulness and motivation for bringing them back towards normal life. Main agenda of the trauma counseling session was to support victims to give them hope, faith and determination for their life ahead. It was highlighted by the psychotherapist that you people are special one as God kept you saved in that great tragedy.
Victims and their loved ones expressed their willpower to overcome this distress and look forward for their cheerful and wonderful future. Everybody showed optimism and faith in God. They stated that we are really thankful for the medical staff for their intensive care and concern of people from all walks of life.
The exchange of flower bouquets to bomb blast victims was also great experience of seeing smile and happiness. Fr Joseph Shahzad (Diocesan Executive Secretary – Caritas Pakistan Lahore) along with his team presented flowers to the victims and shared solidarity with them.
The Management and staff of Jinnah hospital are putting their great efforts to rehabilitate bomb blast victims. The role of City district Government to facilitate victims and their relatives in shape of provision of food along with other facilities is really praise worthy.
The practical sincere joint efforts were seen there, which is an indication of positive change in the mindset of our culture. God bless our Pakistan and enable every human being to contribute optimistically for the well being of humanity at all levels.
